Our History
Georgia Pediatric Pulmonology was founded in 1987 by Dr. Peter Scott. The rapid growth of Metro-Atlanta and the ongoing addition of excellent clinicians who provide quality care to children with breathing disorders, have led to the success and expansion of Georgia Pediatric Pulmonology Associates, which now is the largest private pediatric pulmonology practice in the United States. We are proud to provide the community with the services of 12 pediatric pulmonologists and an allergist. Recent additions to our pediatric sleep disorders group include two physicians, both of whom are board certified in sleep medicine.
Our physicians are assisted by an experienced group of mid-level providers – a pediatric nurse practitioner and seven physician assistants – who have graduate degrees in their fields and specialized training in the care of children with breathing problems. Our clinical support staff includes registered nurses, respiratory therapists, pulmonary laboratory technicians and medical assistants, all of whom are dedicated to the care of our patients. Throughout our practice, from the front desk and business office to our clinical area, we are committed to hiring a staff that supports our mission to provide the best care possible for children with respiratory disease.
Our Mission
The physicians and staff of Georgia Pediatric Pulmonology Associates provide exceptional subspecialty care for children with respiratory conditions in our community, state and region.
